Symposium/workshop proposals must be submitted online through the official ASCAPAP 2026 website.

  • Workshop Proposal

  • A symposium consists of a series of presentations focused on a specific theme or topic. Each symposium is organized by two chairs and includes three to four speakers who present original research, clinical perspectives, or theoretical contributions.

The chair is responsible for introducing the session, ensuring time management, and moderating discussion. Symposia provide an opportunity for in-depth exploration of important issues in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Symposium topic, title and summary (maximum of 300 words)

The proposal must be typed in English

Each symposium must include two chairs and three to four speakers.

Submitters may either nominate both chairs or propose one chair and ask the committee to designate the second.

While a symposium may consist of presenters from a single country, proposals that include speakers
from multiple countries are encouraged and may be given favorable consideration during the review process.

It is permissible for a chair to also serve as a speaker within the same symposium.

Each symposium session is scheduled to be 75 minutes in duration.

  • A workshop is an interactive, practice-oriented session designed to provide participants with hands-on learning, skill development, or training in specific methods or interventions. Workshops are led by one or more facilitators who guide the session; a formal chair is not required.

Compared to symposia, workshops emphasize active engagement and experiential learning, allowing participants to acquire practical knowledge and techniques relevant to clinical or research practice.
